Punta Huanchaco Hostel

We had a fantastic stay at a charming hostel in a great location. The highlight of our trip was when Gigi, one of the hosts, personally showed us around town late at night to find a place to eat. It was thoughtful and made us feel like part of the family. The hostel was clean, had a beautiful terrace, and even had cute cats roaming around. We also appreciated the flexibility with early check-in and late check-out.

I felt right at home at Punta Huanchaco hostel. the owners, Gigi and Dario, were incredibly welcoming and kind. They made sure I had everything I needed and gave great advice on what to do in town. the hostel was clean and well-maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen and free coffee and tea available all day. the location was perfect, just seconds away from the beach, and they even had a board rack and outside shower for surfers.

A great place to stay if you want a calm and friendly atmosphere. Cons: No complaints.

I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. They made me feel like family and were always ready to help. The hostel had a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing my own meals. I also loved the convenience of having a store nearby for fresh fruits and vegetables. The hot showers and comfortable beds provided the perfect relaxation after a long day. the hostel's proximity to the main surf point was a big plus for me.

I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this place. I highly recommend Punta for a wonderful stay in Huanchaco.

punta huanchaco was the perfect place for our stay in huanchaco. gigi and dario were amazing hosts, making us feel welcomed and going above and beyond to help us. the clean and bright rooms, close proximity to the beach and city center, and the warm atmosphere made it one of our best hostel experiences. we will definitely be back.

The location of the hostel was ideal, nestled in a quiet residential area near the city center. the cleanliness of the hostel was exceptional, with all areas, including the rooms and kitchen, being spotless. the availability of hot showers was also a great advantage. Despite the limited capacity, the hostel was spacious and provided ample communal areas and rooms. the staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure guests felt welcome and accommodated.

One downside of the hostel was the occasional lack of running water at night due to limited storage capacity. This could be inconvenient when guests needed to use the facilities during those hours.

The beds could be more comfortable, as they sank in the middle during the night. the showers weren't always hot.

I definitely got my money's worth at this hostel. The room was great - clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location was perfect, right in front of the main surf break. But what really stood out was how the staff treated me like family. Gigi and Dario were so cute and friendly, always willing to help and give recommendations.

The only suggestion I have for breakfast offerings is to maybe add some more variety. everything was great!

There were a few minor issues during our stay. we found that there was a lack of toilet rolls, which was a bit inconvenient.

Experienced the best New Year's celebration with amazing hosts who make you feel like family. Loved the fully equipped kitchen for cooking meals and convenient store nearby. The hot showers and comfy beds were a dream. Will definitely return!

Just be careful if you have cat allergies as there are beautiful cats on the property. Unfortunately, had to leave early due to asthma flare-ups.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hostel! Gigi and Dario made us feel like family and the relaxed atmosphere was perfect for young holiday goers. the outdoor space was beautiful and the perfect spot to chill out and meet fellow guests. the spacious room and nice shower in the bathroom were a bonus. the hostel was also home to six adorable cats that added to the cozy vibe. the best part was the excellent WiFi, the best we've had in South America during our 3-month trip. We would definitely choose this hostel again!

From the moment I stepped foot inside, I felt right at home. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the beach and conveniently close to grocery shops and restaurants. The hostel itself was impeccably clean and it was clear that the owners took great care of it. The best part was the warm and friendly owners, were pretty good to make my stay nice. They were so accommodating and made me feel like part of their family. I couldn't have asked for better hosts. I had an amazing experience at this hostel and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Huanchaco.

Clean, new rooms. Great location near the beach, supermarkets, and restaurants. Helpful hosts who provided tips and even gave us a free ride to the airport. Felt like home. Would definitely stay again. No negatives to mention.
